I finally saw City of God yesterday. How come I never 'had time' to see it earlier? There are too many must-see-movies that I do not go and see. Anyway I did find City of God interesting. Towards the end of the film, I wondered how this would influence my view of Brasil (at least Brasil 60's till 80's), and whether it really captured part of what the favellas were like. Although I now know the movie is based on a true story, I still wonder. It is just so far from my world.
