slaves

Right: just read in Analyzing media by Chesebro and Bertelsen that some 95% of the population in ancient Greece were slaves. Really? It sounds doubtful, but I have no idea. They refer to a book by George Kennedy from 1963 called The art of persuasion in Greece. What did he know? I can't make up my mind about Chesebro and Bertelsen book though. It seemed rather relevant for my project, but I am now that I am halfway through I'm not that sure. It's almost a waste of time. Almost.

Greymatter

Waiting in line for our boxing-class yesterday, I told Lasse that I had changed from Greymatter to Blogger (I used Greymatter previously). Then he asked me whether I knew why Greymatter was called Greymatter. I had no idea. But I loved his answer. Grey matter is the part (or rather layer) of the brain where all our brain cells are. What a lovely name for a journal software. It made me want to go back to Greymatter. Lasse hardly knows what blogs are, but he definitely knows about medicine. Maybe I will change back...

Skiing

It's been the best winter ever when it comes to cross-country skiing. I usually get out like once every winter, but yesterday I went out for my 7th time this season. I'm getting close to 100 km. That's really nothing though if I compare with how many km I have on my bike every year :-)
