walk like an Egyptian

Tomorrow evening I'll be in Aswan, Egypt. We'll be travelling on the Nile to Luxor, and then to Cairo. I am, of course, very excited. There will probably be more than enough to learn, but I'll still bring John Durham Peters' Speaking into the air. A history of the idea of communication with me. It must be the perfect choice when visiting what may very well have been home of the first written language, some 5000 years ago.
